

Psychotherapy & Counselling
The terms counselling and psychotherapy are often used interchangeably, but I like to make a small distinction between the two:

Counselling: Typically short-term therapy that focuses on understanding and addressing a specific issue.

Psychotherapy: Typically longer-term and more explorative, aiming to gain deeper insight into a person’s thought processes, beliefs and way of being.​
Seeking therapy
Many reasons can lead someone to seek therapy, such as experiencing loss, trauma, or relational challenges. You may feel anxious, depressed, or discontented. Sometimes, there may not be a clear reason – you might simply sense that something isn’t quite right or that you’re not living life as fully as you’d like.
Whether seeking therapy feels like a natural step or a daunting decision, or you feel uncertain about asking for help, these feelings are valid, and I am here to support you. Together, we’ll create a safe, compassionate space to explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment.
